Mark Hodge
Mark usually comes into the studio ready to get to work. He has a lighthearted personality, but he is very serious about drawing. He’s got to have a perfectly sharpened pencil, a ruler ready to go, and he’s usually equipped with a magnifying glass. His drawings are mostly large scale and often depict landscapes and cityscapes. He works by zooming into one tiny section at a time using straight, horizontal lines to depict skies, mountains, and buildings. These lines create a lot of movement in his drawings. Mark also likes to dabble in clay and glass, but drawing seems to be his passion. He is a very polite person and it is marvelously charming when he pinches his fingers on the corner of his glasses during conversations.
