InsideOut Studio artists exhibit at the Governor's Residence

Three of our artists had the privilege of being featured as one of the Spotlight Artists at the Ohio Governor's Residence on February 14th. This program was created by Ohio's First Lady, Karen W. Kasich to celebrate Ohio artists by showcasing a sampling of their artworks in the Residence. The program is a partnership with the Ohio Arts Council. Since 1985, the OAC has assisted in placing artwork by Ohio artists in the Governor's Residence as well as throughout the Vern Riffe Center for Government and the Arts. The Spotlight program offers quarterly exhibitions at the Governor's Residence, highlighted by an opening reception featuring Mrs. Kasich. First Lady Kasich selects all of the artwork for the exhibitions. Alicia Jones' painting, "Piano Diva", Brett Garrett's "Flowers in Glass", and Mark Hodge's "Birds in Glass" were chosen to join 6 other studios and 14 other artworks from around Ohio. This exhibition marks the first time that artists with disabilities were featured in this program.
